Tips and Tricks: Snowed in

I'm praying that this insane amount of snow falling from the sky, which is making me highly irritable, won't keep me from going home tomorrow afternoon! Yet, even if I do manage to back it back to the burbs, I'll be pushed indoor with my family, a pack of cookie dough and a few movies. I can't complain, but I can spice things up and make tomorrow night the perfect girls night with my sister. Hopefully intense planning and preparation will lead to the ultimate girls night. Here's the layout for the night:

5:00pm- Junkie for Junk Food
A true girl's night encompasses all things fatty, sugary and sweet! The perfect meal consists of take-out from your favorite Chinese place. I'm craving crab rangoon and sweet-n-sour chicken already, so I may have to pregame tomorrow night's dinner with some late-night munchies....

6:00pm- Mad for Mani's
Every single teenage movie depicts a girl's night as an at-home spa night! Take this time to get creative with your and your besties. Browse Pinterest for adventurous and fun nail patterns and ideas, hair-dos and facial treatments. Pinterest is the perfect place to set up a night at the spa! If you're willing to take the time, you can even make a "Girl's Night" board.

7:00pm- Rom-coms
Rom-coms (aka, romantic comedies) are the only option for a girl's night. My top picks include 13 Going on 30, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, Definitely Maybe, and of course, John Tucker Must Die. Don't be afraid to dive into one, two or even three movies!

Sweet Snacks:
A girl's night is not complete without a yummy treat to snack on during the movie! Below are a few of my favorites from Pinterest that I've been dying to try. Still, my heart will always belong to cookie dough!

Valentine's Day Series: Food

I basically have a whole pinterest page filled with Valentine's Day themed foods. I think Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to bake, eat chocolates and not feel bad about stuffing your face with candy hearts. This year I think I'm going to whip up a batch of sugar cookies topped with pink icing, or perhaps a red velvet cupcake. Below are a few of my favorite pinterest picks of Valentine's Day desserts, with links provided of course! Enjoy... and don't get too hungry!
