Cardio Kickboxing




To prepare for the massive amounts of turkey and pumpkin pie I will be consuming tomorrow, my friend and I decided to try a new work out class yesterday in preparation for the big day. Being adventurous, we strolled into a Kickboxing class eager to give it a try.

Now, the next morning, I'm sore like no other. Kickboxing kicked my butt. The class combined cardio with kickboxing moves for an hour, and then ended with a 15 minute ab workout routine. As intense as it was, I loved it! I felt my muscles getting stronger and my endurance picking up. And, of course, being sore the next day is always a sign of a good workout.

Dad's Weekend

I'm incredibly full and exhausted, but had a wonderful day with my pops! Today was Dad's Day, so my dad drove up to spend the day with me eating, sight seeing, and catching up.

Although we lost our football game, we decided to rejoice with an amazing dinner and dessert!
Sushi at Kofusion and a Pumpkin Spice cupcake at Cream and Flutter couldn't have ended the night any more perfectly.


After saying goodbye to my old man, I realized that we sometimes take the little things in life for granted. So I challenge you to go spend time with family, say thank you to someone important, and enjoy life day by day.

Style Trend: Studded Loafers


My mother still makes fun of me for it, but I've had my eye on a pair of Jeffery Campbell studded loafers for MONTHS now. Yet, mamma may have some apologizing to do. Loafers have been popping up all over the fashion scene from designers like Jeffery Campbell to Louboutin.
Studs have been a trend for months now, and pairing the two together, loafers and studs, creates the perfect shoe. I need those Jeffery Campbell's in my closet ASAP. Possibly an early holiday gift? What do you think of the trend?

Spreading the Holiday Cheer



I'm a HUGE fan of the holidays. My Spotify Holiday playlist has been on repeat in my dorm room, and I'm almost positive my roommate wants to kill me. I've yanked out all my oversized sweaters, and I never leave my room without a pair of fuzzy socks on. Still, my favorite way to really dig deep into the holiday's has to be with coffee.
Little do you know, I'm a full-blown coffee addict. Everyone that knows me can vouch that I am somewhat of a coffee expert. So, when Starbucks releases their holiday drinks you can imagine that I'm first in line.
If you haven't tried Starbucks Holidays drinks then, I swear, you aren't living. Take a break from homework and walk over to your nearest Starbucks.

If you are a Gingerbread lover like me try the Gingerbread Latte.
It'll blow your fuzzy socks right off your feet.


If your heart lies with eggnog, take a chance and taste the Eggnog Latte.
It's highly addicting, I'm warning you.

If peppermint puts you in the holiday mood, make sure you snag a Peppermint Mocha.
This drink is my favorite companion when I cozy up by the fire.

Other holiday drinks include the Toffee Nut Latte, Caramel Brulee Latte, and the Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha. Let me know which one is your favorite and why!

Work it Girl

I will NOT gain the freshman fifteen. Since I've been at school I've struggled a bit with late night snacking, but I've attempted to make up for it through my work-out schedule.
Yet, it's a new month and time for a more intense and healthy lifestyle.  So, I present to you...
NEW NOVEMBER!

I've decided to embark on a new look at health and fitness. By pairing healthy meals with a varying work out routine, I'm hoping I'll be able to be more fit, fresh, and energized.

Here's a look at my fitness week:

Monday: Cardio

Tuesday: Zumba

Wednesday: Cardio + toning

Thursday: Yoga (ohmmmm)

Friday: Cardio + pilates

Saturday: Total Body

Sunday: Rest day!

2 Accessories, 2 Looks

I'll admit it; I have a soft spot for shoes. I could spend hours purusing through the massive shoe department of Nordstrom, finding any excuse to add another pair to my oversized collection. Yet, when I had to pack up and go to college I was faced with a problem: I had too many shoes. With this in mind, I created this look using the same bag and shoes as accessories. It's sometimes difficult to go from day to night looks using the same pieces, so I've decided to give you a quick example of how its done.

Black pumps are a wardrobe staple. If you don't have a pair then please go out right now and buy them. (Or else I will for you!) Black pumps can be worn into the office with a straight silhouette dress, or to a party with a tight strapless mini.

A Leather Bag is a must-have for fall and winter fashion. It's effortlessly chic and never goes out of style. Prada may be too expensive for this broke college student... but a girl can dream, right?
